You held on for far longer than any of your old peers. Your shape was immulated by new Mustangs and C-Class Coupes, but it time for you to exit as the stand-in top performance car for Honda US. The Civic is enormous, turbocharged, available in three bodystyles that look identical, and has performance trims coming to takeover for you.
The next generation Accord is going from a repleted sedan and into a rescinded sedan. As long as a manual is available with a natty Honda V6, all will be fine.
Now if you’d like to make a 2-door version of the TLX, especially a Sport Hybrid version, then I’ll happily become an Acura apologist!

My guess is that they’ll get buyers from the 4-cyl Accord to the Civic Si and from the v6 Accord to the Civic Type-R.

That accord looks huge, full sized. That doesn’t bode well in this market.

Looks like the liftbacky Accord Crosstour, which as far as I can tell, was a total flop.
